My Homemade Sweet Cream Cold Foam Recipe
I have been loving Starbuck’s Sweet Cream Cold Foam on top of some cold brew goodness. If you go to Starbucks, you see it in a new way every season which makes this recipe so fun. You’re able to spice it up, adapt it to your liking, and save money while doing it. As much as I love the experience of going to Starbucks, I am a person who wants to save some money and stay safe in the comfort of my own home during this crazy pan-demonium we’re living in. Let me share my go-to, Starbucks-Inspired homemade sweet cream cold foam recipe with you.
Prep Time: 5 minutes
Ingredient List:
Sweet Cream (you can make this or you can buy it already made at the store)
Heavy Whipping Cream
Vanilla Extract
Nutmeg
Cinnamon
Prep Instructions:
Grab a bowl. Add 1/4 cup of heavy whipping cream and 1/4 cup of Sweet Cream. Adjust the mixture to taste. This is your coffee, make it how you like it!
Use a whisk to stir and whip the mixture until it reachs a thick fluffy consistency. If you would like your mixture to be thicker, add an extra dash of heavy whipping cream. I usually use an automatic whisk and it takes me around 45 seconds to 1 minute to get the consistency I like.
Add a dash of vanilla extract, a pinch or nutmeg, and cinnamon to taste. I really just eyeball it and adjust my mixture according to taste.
Mix in the added ingredients listed above using your whisk.
Once incorporated, spoon your cold foam on top of your iced coffee and add a dash of cinnamon or mocha powder on top of your foam to make it look delicious.
Store extra cold foam in an airtight container or bag in your refrigerator for up to 5 days.
Notes:
This recipe is flexible. As long as you have the sweet cream + heavy whipping cream liquid base, you can play around with the added flavors to make your cold foam to your liking.
I’ve put the cold foam on my hot coffee and it still tastes great—it foams up like a latte— so you can add this to hot or cold coffees.
It’s essential that you store your cold foam in an airtight container or bag because dairy absorbs other flavors present in your refrigerator.
Final step: ENJOY the yummy taste of your homemade cold foam (and the taste of saving those extra dollars for something else!)
